Main Responsibilities

• Assess the safety of cosmetic ingredients, impurities, and raw materials used in product formulations.
• Review and interpret in vitro, in vivo, and clinical data, including the use of alternative approaches (e.g., in silico models, read-across strategies).
• Evaluate the safety of finished cosmetic products, considering consumer exposure scenarios based on product types and usage patterns.
• Prepare toxicological safety profiles for ingredients and raw materials in compliance with regulatory expectations.
• Draft Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR) in accordance with European Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support the toxicological risk assessment process across product development stages.
• Monitor and coordinate with external laboratories and data suppliers involved in formula testing and toxicological data provision.
• Collaborate with formulation, regulatory, and R&D teams to integrate toxicology input into product development.
• Stay current on regulatory updates and scientific advances related to cosmetic toxicology and safety testing methods.
• Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing regarding toxicological risk assessment strategies.
