The Role:

You will ensure the staff under your responsibility delivers services on time, with high quality standards and within agreed budget, for applicable department of Excelya.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, evaluation, development and retention of supervised staff
  • Assesses resources requirements and allocates members under his/her responsibility accordingly and coordinates their activities. In charge of resourcing and planning for his/her team
  • Deeply acknowledges and strictly follows SOPs, ICH-GCP guidelines and applicable local and international legislation
  • Ensures supervised staff are adequately trained and act in compliance with all applicable Excelya and/or client’s SOPs, policies, applicable guidelines, and regulations, following expected quality compliance standards
  • Identifies training needs and collaborates with Human Resources dept for training activities and supports Human Resources department in implementing internal training
  • Support Talent Management Department with candidate recruitment
  • Cooperates with Finance dept to prepare monthly invoices and forecast
  • Ensures that staff have the proper materials and systems access
  • Ensures there is a proper handover in case of any change of the members of the supervised team
  • Participates in the development and amendment of the departmental SOPs
  • May undertake other tasks as they may be assigned by the supervisor that will concern any of the Excelya Group companies

 

For FSP and Full Service only:

  • Provide guidance and coaching in the respective areas of expertise so his/her reports achieve delivery of study objectives
  • Ensures that supervised staff meets the expected study timelines and deliverables, within the agreed budget
  • Supports direct reports with resolution of any relevant issues and study risk management plans
  • Reviews timesheets and monitor billable versus spent hours per staff, per project and assess any gaps
  • Is responsible for collecting and assessing metrics for his/her perimeter: deadlines, costs, quality, customer satisfaction, profitability
  • Reviews and approves expense reports

For FSP and Consulting only:

  • Supports incoming RFP by providing technical input
  • Control and validation of milestones and payment schedule
  • Supports Sales team in contract negotiation and claims

For Full Service only:

  • Assists in audits and inspections and in the preparation of CAPA plan
  • Escalates quality issues to Head of department and QA
  • Supports the implementation of CAPA plan

Skills and Experience:

  • University or College graduate (bachelor’s degree in life and/or health sciences is preferred) Capability to travel extensively to meet customers and to Paris for management meetings essential
  • Over 6 years in the clinical research area, experience in managing projects, planning activities and identifying risks as study team member
  • Manager: over 4 years in Manager role
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, understanding of project financials, project management practices and terminology
  • Ability to organize resources, task oriented with time management skills
  • Fluency in English, with proficient computer skills (Microsoft tools)
